Forgot to mention that we have a client who has a RAID pc which is failing to boot into Windows 7. Initially fault was intermitent but now complete failure with missing operating system followed by non bootable disk. And the client does not have a current back up.
So the big question is how to recover data from RAID disks when you cannot get windows started. Completely outside our comfort zone here. So we are going to try and install an IDE disk as the primary disk, install fresh version of windows 7 and then hope (and pray) that windows recognises the RAID disks and we can then recover the client's data.
