Has it been that long since the last blog?

A bit of a surprise when I found out the last time I blogged! Time flies.
On the Dynamics Nav front, spent the last 2 weeks bedding in a development for a client. Some first line support issues after use in live despite extensive user testing. Not unexpected given what the development is trying to emulate! Client activity bar that quiet! Waiting for client sign offs for some Dynamics Nav work and the starting pistol for approved work which was due to start 1 month ago!
Iphone development for a client to pilot stage done. Shown to client who has requested some other items as part of the pilot. Once this is done, next stage is to demo to a wider audience at the client. Transferring development to spare 2nd edition Itouch so that client can show to others the current version. This has been hard work but only because this is a new area of development for us. We are new to it!
Busy time of year for the impending self assessment tax returns due in for the end of January 2011 as long as submitted on line. If paper, you are too late! Completed client books and prepared first draft tax calculation. Other client's tax calcs due to follow in the next week and then we submit on line on our client's behalf.
Don't forget all of you out there that account for VAT - standard rate changes from 4/1/11 to 20%!
For Dynamics Nav users, the changes include setting up a new VAT Prod Posting Group and assigning values for each VAT Bus Posting Group. And then changing any default VAT groups assigned to items and GLs, for example. And then making sure the correct VAT is charged on billings from 4/1/11. Anyone know why HMRC as adopted the 2 week rule??? Probably to make it more complicated!
