Another busy week!

Not had much time for blogs this week but I thought I would post one up before the week end!
On the advertising front, now agreed terms for advertising book keeping services and Dynamics Nav services through 2 different periodicals over the next 6 months. We will then see whether we get any takers.
Never advertised Dynamics Nav services in this way before so this is a 'suck it and see' case!
Busy on 2 developments this week split between 2 clients. 1 has been written this week and we have just started development testing. The other was written a few weeks ago and finally loaded into the client's test database this week. As a result the development has been fully tested by the users and amendments made. I am hoping that the last amendment has been made and we can load the development into live next week.
For this client this will mean I can focus on a work around for the email issue on their test database.
We are planning to complete testing on the other client development by mid week next week ready for UAT.
Put in some more quotes this week but nothing signed off as yet. In fact more delays to sign off expected as a result of the cost cutting by the government. I am hoping not but......

Post holiday blog

Back from holidays now. Straight into work with a new development for a client for tracking new customers and their satisfaction with the service. Nice intellectual challenge!
Nothing much else happening but that is a relief. Still quite busy but waiting to see what happens with the government spending cuts this week. Keeping fingers crossed!

Last post pre holiday!

Looking forward to a break away in sunny (I hope!) Cornwall in our holiday bungalow! Not sure body boarding is on the cards but the weather forecast is reasonable.

Today was making some changes as part of fixed price support for 2 clients and quoting for developments for 2 clients. Keeping fingers crossed that both quotes are approved. For one I have confirmed a discount as it is over 10 days! It has been busy up until now but will be quiet next week. A good time to go on holiday but I would prefer to know I have signed off POs. Call me fussy!
Support issue for 1 client was an Nav process delay on changing a Prod BOM from new to certified. Caused by a blank Prod BOM Number which has valid item number lines. Of course you cannot delete a blank number  Prod BOM but deleting the lines and closing the BOM cleared up the error.
Always learning something new!

Well it has been a while......

For those that are following the blog, apologies for the delay since the last posting. Thankfully this is down the a large workload for the last few months. Just coming out of delivering a host of Dynamics Nav developments for a number of clients. Some are still work in progress but today is the first day that I have had a spare few hours for updating the blog.
On the Dynamics Nav front, I have learnt something new about htm templates and how you can get Nav to populate specific areas of the template even where there is html code. Very useful!! Also had a potential client contact for training in Nav pre purchase. Must update our web site for this as an option as I can see the logic. Why not get a day's specific training in Nav before you buy from an organisation like ours that does not sell the software. We only support it. And although it is always great to get new Nav clients, we can quite easlily provide non Nav related services to support any client that decides against Nav.
The last few months have involved on site attendance for a development go live, on site attedance for a Nav sql install and bespoke Nav super user training, training on Accs Sch in Nav and developments for email templates, telesales, email (for Navision V4), email support for Navision v3.7.
Phew! Busy period and long may in continue! More details for Dynamics Nav support (versions 2.x to 2009 Classic) available at www.dynamicsnavconsultant.co.uk.
Hopefully next blog will be next week.
